Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
BlueCollar AI ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered virtual receptionist service for trades and service businesses in Ireland. Our service answers, qualifies, routes, and logs inbound calls on behalf of our clients.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data — both data belonging to our clients (businesses that use our service) and data belonging to callers who interact with the AI receptionist.

2. What data we collect
From website visitors
When you use our website (bluecollar.ie), we may collect:
- Information you submit via our contact form: name, business name, phone number, email address, trade type, and any message you include
- Basic technical data such as your browser type and referring URL (via analytics tools, if used)
From callers (via the AI receptionist)
When a caller contacts a business using BlueCollar AI's service, the AI may collect:
- The caller's name (if provided)
- The caller's phone number
- The reason for their call (as stated by the caller)
- A text summary of the interaction generated by the AI
This data is captured on behalf of our client (the business) and delivered to them. The client is the data controller for this information — not BlueCollar AI.
We do not record calls. BlueCollar AI does not create or retain audio recordings of any calls handled by the AI receptionist. No audio is stored by us at any point.
We do not listen to calls. No member of the BlueCollar AI team listens to, monitors, or reviews your customer conversations. The AI operates entirely autonomously.
3. How we use your data
Website enquiries
If you contact us via our website, we use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiry or arrange a demo
- Follow up on your request if you asked us to call you back
- Send you relevant information about our service if you requested it
We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing communications without your explicit consent. We will not share your contact details with any third party for marketing purposes.
Call log data (on behalf of clients)
Call summaries and lead data captured by the AI are processed solely for the purpose of delivering our service to our clients. We act as a data processor on behalf of our clients, who are the data controllers for their callers' information.
4. Call handling and AI processing
Our AI receptionist service operates in real time. When a call is received:
- The AI handles the conversation autonomously using speech recognition and natural language processing
- A text summary of the call is generated and delivered to the client (business owner) via their chosen method (e.g. WhatsApp, email, or dashboard)
- No audio recording is made or retained by BlueCollar AI
- No human at BlueCollar AI listens to, reviews, or accesses live or historical calls
The AI is configured specifically for each client's business. It is trained on information provided by the client and operates according to the rules they set during onboarding.
Callers interacting with a business's AI receptionist should be aware that their conversation is being handled by an automated AI system. BlueCollar AI recommends that clients disclose this to their customers where required under applicable law.
5. Client data ownership
All data captured by the AI receptionist on behalf of a client — including caller details, call summaries, lead logs, and integration outputs — belongs entirely to that client.
- We do not claim ownership of client data
- We do not use client data for our own purposes
- We do not share client data with third parties without explicit instruction from the client
- On termination of service, client data is returned or deleted as requested
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate legal basis to collect and process their callers' personal data, and for complying with their own data protection obligations under GDPR and Irish law.
6. Third-party integrations
BlueCollar AI may integrate with third-party tools and platforms on behalf of clients, including:
- Communication tools (e.g. WhatsApp Business API) for delivering call summaries
- Automation platforms (e.g. n8n) for routing data to client systems
- CRM or scheduling tools as instructed by the client
When data is passed to a third-party integration, it is done at the direction of the client. BlueCollar AI is not responsible for how third-party services handle data once received. Clients should review the privacy policies of any integration they choose to use.
We do not sell data to, or share data with, any advertising networks, data brokers, or third parties for commercial purposes.
7. Data retention
We retain client and caller data only as long as necessary to provide our service and meet our legal obligations:
- Active client data is retained for the duration of the service agreement
- On termination, data is returned to the client or securely deleted within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law
- Website enquiry data is retained for a reasonable period to allow us to respond and follow up, and is deleted once no longer needed
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, individuals have the following rights regarding their personal data:
- Right of access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data in certain circumstances
- Right to restrict processing — you can ask us to limit how we use your data
- Right to data portability — you can request your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to object — you can object to certain types of processing

If you are a caller who interacted with a business using our AI receptionist, your data is held by that business (our client). Please contact them directly regarding your personal data rights. If you are unable to reach them, contact us and we will do our best to assist.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland) at www.dataprotection.ie.
9. Cookies
Our website uses a minimal number of cookies. Specifically:
- A local storage preference to remember your light/dark mode setting
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that collect personal data without consent. If this changes, this policy will be updated and a cookie consent mechanism will be implemented.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
